  Love this place. Great drinks, good atmosphere, most -- not all though -- of the bartenders are friendly and easy to deal with. This is an ideal go-to after work or after dinner. If you haven't checked it out you definitely should. Favorite bar in SF.

  Blackbird has a great happy hour that runs a little bit later than usual. Hours are Monday to Friday, 5-8 pm.
  
  I came here for pre-dinner drinks with a friend on a Tuesday evening around 5:45, and it was pretty empty. Over the course of the 1.5 hours we were here, it never really filled up.
  
  I tried two different cocktails, both a steal at $8. The margarita was a little bit strong for my tastes, but my friend and I both really enjoyed the early bird cocktail. The ingredients are svedka vodka, lemon, and elderflower. By the second of the drink, the vodka taste was getting a little strong, but the bartender was nice enough to add some more elderflower extract to the drink to balance it out.
  
  I'd definitely come back again if I was in the area and wanted drinks!

  I loved the ambience of this place and coolness it exudes with the pool table, photo booth and of course the Ryan gosling drink! As much as I tried to like this place, the cocktails were just not that great. 3 stars just for the ambience and the effort.

  Best hot toddy ever. He even made the first one of the season for me as this ex-San Franciscan is now used to warm Tennessee nights! The lighting is stellar and the cozy factor is divine! I'd come back time and again just for the cozy aspect-- tufted leather banquettes, a long bar with leather-topped stools. It's so good...

  Sorry! For bad review. I just visited SF; found the bar are close to my hotel. Drink was okay, but service was very poor. I sat at the bar. First bartender took care me very well. However, after the first bartender has changed his working shift. Another bartender had an attitude about serving me. He skipped to ask me a next drink. I have waited 20 minutes to order my second round. Finally, I gave up and asked for my bill which was open tap. He asked me my name, but I wasn't sure about my name on tap because first bartender just took my credit card. He told me "You don't know your name." !!!!!!!!!!!! What kind of service is??? Then he couldn't find name on POS. He asked me again last name. I am a manager in busy restaurants in NYC. I believe if this situation happen there, some of restaurant's employees have to say apologize to me.
